Pinnacle Furnished Suites Wins Coveted 2019 CHPA Tower of Excellence Company of the Year Award

Chicago, IL – Pinnacle Furnished Suites is pleased to officially announce that they have been awarded the coveted “Company of the Year” Tower of Excellence Award during the 2019 CHPA annual conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The award ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 6th and included the following additional categories: Best Community/Philanthropic Program, Most Creative Marketing, Best Green Progress, Volunteer of the Year, Associate Partner of the Year, and Individual of the Year.
In attendance to receive the award were Matt Singley, Managing Director and Co-Founder, Collin Walker, Co-Founder, Steve Schuldt, Director of Sales, and Dan Scott, Midwest Regional Sales Lead.

Please describe how your company contributes locally and nationally to the corporate housing industry.
PFS has also been a multi-year sponsor of the Corporate Relocation Council (CRC) of Chicago website, yearly joint meetings with the Wisconsin Employee Relocation Council (WiERC), and the yearly CRC of Chicago meetings. Through these organizations, we are able to spread our unique ideas and technological approaches that our company has become known for.
PFS has become an active donor with the Move for Hunger organization. We have implemented the program into our move-out procedures and held multiple company events including the Shamrock Shuffle 5 mile race and a Nashville Meets Chicago musical event featuring bands from Nashville. Our first donation was 460 pounds of food providing 384 meals to local Chicago residents in need!
The Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA) has been both a valuable resource as well as an association we’ve dedicated large amounts of time and funds too. Through our participation in the annual CHPA conferences and hosting our own regional meeting, we’ve been able to foster countless priceless relationships with partner providers, vendors, and association members. We’ve always tried to “spread the word” as much as possible about the new tech approaches available to providers to ease in administrative manhours which allow more focus on the things that matter: customer support, relationships, and quality! This year we will be participating in a CHPA panel in a more official capacity and have been featured on a CHPA podcast!
PFS has recently expanded our core operations to Nashville, TN. We now fully operate in 6 buildings there and plan to continue to expand. We’ve also become members of the Tennessee Relocation Council (TRC) and attended our first meeting this year.
In 2018, Pinnacle secured leases in Illinois, Tennessee, Utah, Arizona, and California. We look to expand our reach and special brand throughout the 50 states!
Employee and Benefits:
Our best assets are our team members. Increases in both salaries and benefits have been an important part of our company growth.
In 2014 we did everything ourselves, as owners. Cleaning was outsourced to outside companies. It was exhausting. In 2015, we hired our first employees for sales and operations on a salary basis. Everything else was outsourced. In 2016 we hired additional operations/guest services and admin positions and introduced company-wide healthcare and dental benefits, although with limited company contributions. In 2017 we added to the operations staff and started a company-wide 401k plan with limited company matching. Additionally, we created our own cleaning company with direct employees to support our turn over and bi-weekly cleaning needs. In 2018, we went to a full match on healthcare, dental, vision, and 401k (Safe Harbor) for the entire company. We hired additional sales and operations staff and hired our long-time, contracted, software developer. He is now employed full time and leads a team of Junior devs leading the charge on our custom property management and distribution solution.
